Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins was pleased with his side's sixth victory from six games this afternoon. They are now second in the League One table.
"We are delighted. It's another win away from home," said Adkins as reported on the Scunthorpe Website.
"We've got another victory, it's always going to be a difficult game. The expectation was that Hereford were bottom of the league and we should go there and win.
"We always knew it was going to be difficult. We've promoted that message all week, and towards the end because we didn't take our chances and put Hereford to bed, they had a little bit of pressure towards the end.
"But well done to the players, they've worked extremely hard and put a lot of energy into the game. It was very hot out there and we played some superb football."
