News Round Up

Leeds have had a second pre-season friendly cancelled due to Police concerns. A trip to Rotherham's new Sheffield home has been cancelled at the request of South Yorks Police. Peterboro have cancelled their game with Cambridge due to poor ticket sales. The high cost of policing the game is blamed after 'only' 400 tickets were sold in advance for the friendly.

MK Dons striker Jemal Johnson is being linked with a move to Watford. The Dons have also released four other members of their backroom staff, including the masseur, with all four expected to join Paul Ince and Ray Mathias at Ewood Park. Southend have accepted a third bid from Brentford for striker Charlie MacDonald, and dismissed speculation linking manager Steve Tilson to MK Dons.

Shrewsbury have had a bid accepted by Rotherham for Captain Graham Coughlan. The Dublin born defender was a free transfer signing last summer after being released by Sheff Weds. Leicester have sold striker Ian Hume to Barnsley for £1.5million, bringing their total income from sales to around £4million since the end of the season.

Scunthorpe's rejected bid for Cheltenham's Steven Gillespie is rumoured to be around £300,000. Oldham's shirt sponsors, a construction firm, have gone into Administration. The firm have already paid for the coming season's sponsorship.
