Turner looks for reserve keeper

In his post match press conference Hereford United manager Graham Turner revealed that reserve goalkeeper Mike Ingham will be out for six weeks after injuring a finger.

"We had a setback - Mike Ingham ruptured the tendons in his finger yesterday in training so he is going to be out for six weeks.

"But he was prepared to cut his glove, get his finger in and strap it up again and sit on the bench.

"We had no chance to do anything yesterday but we've got an opportunity to bring another goal keeper in.

"It's a serious blow. I know he's not figured much but he's a good quality keeper and to lose him at this stage is a blow to us.

"I do appreciate he was prepared to sit on the bench. Had he had to go on he would have."

The transfer deadline is a week on Thursday and Turner appeared confident he would have another keeper in by the middle of the week.
