West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Mowbray has been talking about Sherjill MacDonald and what might happen to him after his last game in his current loan spell with Hereford United. That game is at Accrington Stanley next Saturday.
23 year old 'Shergar' signed a two and a half year deal for the Baggies in January before coming on loan to Edgar Street. He's found the net for the Bulls on a regular basis and because of his performance he's seldom been out of the headlines.
"Sherjill's created a bit of interest for himself from all levels of football and my phone hasn't stopped ringing," said Mowbray as reported on the Albion website.
"We will sit down, talk about the next step really and, out of respect for Hereford we wouldn't want to discuss in public what the next step is for Sherjill.
"Sherjill MacDonald has a real bright future. He has got fabulous assets but he's got to bring all of his game together. He's got to put his wonderful attributes into his game and become an effective player on a Saturday afternoon, rather than a training ground player.
"He's done that at Hereford and he needs to get to a level where he's contributing to our football club and when he does I'm sure he has a bright future here."
