News Round Up

Shrewsbury have signed defender Graeme Lee on loan from Doncaster until the end of the season. The 29 year old has struggled with injuries this season but recently completed a loan spell at Hartlepool. Mansfield's takeover back on track with the necessary funding now in place again. The deal is expected to be completed next week, assuming no-one else gets cold feet.

Rotherham have seen youth coach Mick Priest, groundsman Bill Corby, and Customer Service manager Carol Rockett leave the club. Priest left for 'personal reasons' while the other two are being made redundant by Administators. Corby is a three time Groundsman of the Year at the Football League awards. The Administrator has revealed that the club has a £1.1million playing budget set on 4,500 average gates. Their average is currently 4,287.

Lincoln are giving a trial to former Swindon striker Andy Caton, who played for temporary Imps boss Iffy Onoura at the County Ground. Kidderminster are still waiting for payment from their FA Trophy final with Stevenage. The two clubs have joined forces 10 months after the game to demand their money from the FA with a dispute over charges still to be resolved.

Halifax are expecting a smooth Administration period after the Administrators confirmed there were no football creditors on their list. The taxman has vigourously fought any proposals that guaranteed footballing creditors 100% of their money since the taxman lost their preferential status. Viewing figures suggest that 150,000 people watched the Torquay-Aldershot match on Setanta recently.

Bournemouth are expecting to finalise a deal to takeover the club next week, but have lost their main sponsor after the company pulled the plug on their three year deal by exercising a get-out clause, citing that they were not happy with what was going on at the club.
