Football League 2
Monday 24th March 2008 KO 3.00 pm.
Sincil Bank Stadium
Lincoln

Lincoln City were formed in 1884 and have always played their football in the lower leagues including dipping their toes into the Conference in season 87/88. They have also had their financial ups and downs but currently find themselves stranded in mid-table in this seasons League 2 campaign. Sincil Bank became an all-seated stadium at the beginning of 1999/2000 season with a capacity of over 10,000 making it arguably one of the better facilities in the Division. Visiting fans are accommodated in part of the Co-Op Community Stand where admission for adults is £17 (£15 if prepaid), concessions £12(£11) and U15's £6(£5). Concessions apply to over 60's, students aged 16 or 17 in full time education and the disabled. http://www.redimps.premiumtv.co.uk/page/HomeGames/0,,10440,00.html

The HUFC Official site are reporting prices of £1 less so there may be some reduction that is not shown on the Lincoln site.

Please note that the £6 tickets need to be purchased at the ticket office before going to the turnstiles. Pre-paid tickets can be purchased by calling 0870 800 1976 or on-line at https://www.medocmall.co.uk/cgi-bin/live/ticketing.pl?site=theclubshop.lincoln-tickets . There is a £1 charge per credit card transaction (Multiple ticket purchases are treated as one transaction if purchased together). Tickets purchased in this way can be collected from the ticket office on arrival. The view from the "Co-op" is excellent particularly when Stevie Guinan scores a hat-trick and the Lincoln fans and stewards are a friendly bunch so it should be good Bank Holiday trip.

REFRESHMENTS. The Supporters club at the ground (The Trust Suite) located at the south end of the ground does admit visiting fans and serves a mean hot pork roll and well as Mansfield Smooth whilst the best bet for a "proper" pint is without doubt The Golden Lion in High Street. The George and Dragon and The City Vaults have also received recommendations as has The Portland down Sincil Bank some 800 yards from the ground while the local 'Spoons is The Ritz on the High Street. Inside the ground, the refreshments are good with the usual hot drinks and pies along with Lincolnshire sausages and bacon rolls.

Enjoy.
