Crawley Next In Court

Crawley are the next ones in court, after the taxman issued a winding up petition against the Conference side.

The club have already moved to assure fans that the sum will be paid before the May 14th court date, with news also coming through that the un-named consortium revealed by manager Steve Evans in January has finalised the deal to takeover the club from the unpopular Majeed family.

Evans himself has agreed a new three year deal at the club, prompting speculation that one of the backers into the club is former Boston backer Michael Chinn.

Meanwhile, Halifax's debts have been revealed at only around £100,000. Their existing CVA, established in 2002 and forcing the club to pay around £1,000 a week, is expected to be scrapped and tied into any new deal agreed for the club to continue.
