Graham Turner spoke to the press after last night's defeat at Dagenham.
"We've had a great run, five consecutive wins and I thought we dominated the first 20minutes and looked right on song," said the Hereford United manager.
"There's a number of times we've given away silly free-kicks. We've preached about discipline and we've preached about the number of times we allow the opposition to get the ball into our area.
"There's always a risk and we never reacted to the knock down and we've paid a heavy penalty. We've got to learn from this and start again against Stockport on Saturday."
However Dagenham assistant manager Terry Harris paid the Bulls a compliment even though his side had deservedly won the match.
"They are an excellent side and I can see why they are where they are, but we matched them and our organisation was first class.
"I was delighted to come in at half-time with the lead, and then in the second half we had to dig deep, keep trying to turn them, and although they put us under pressure our goalkeeper Tony Roberts didn't have too much to do."
