Turner hopes to console Parry

Hereford United manager Graham Turner is hoping that after the game he will be able to console former player Paul Parry who will be returning to Edgar Street with Cardiff City on Sunday.

“Hereford United were heavily in debt and the sale of Paul helped us through our darkest days,” said Turner as reported in the South Wales Echo. "It stopped this football club going bust.

“That kept us going for 18 months and I will always be grateful to Paul. He is always welcome at Edgar Street – except this Sunday!

“I hope he has a miserable day with us. I will put my arm round Paul and console him later.”
