Hereford United have refuted claims that they were selling large quantities of tickets to individuals, despite having an 'unlimited' policy on the sales.
BBC Hereford and Worcester reported that a supporter had seen one person buy '30-40 tickets', a claim rejected by the club despite official announcements before the open sale saying there were no limits on ticket purchases.
The club now want to speak to the supporter: "The individual named on air this morning was a Mike Baker we would like to speak to him regarding these allegations.
"If he could contact the Club regarding where he got this story from we would appreciate it. Or if anyone knows a Supporter by the name of Mike Baker and where he could be contacted we would again appreciate it."
It is unknown why the Club would want to speak so urgently to Mr. Baker when several people had already reported, on the Bulls Banter forum, witnessing large quanities of tickets being sold to individuals.
The Club's policy to sell unlimited tickets to people in the open sale was much criticised both before and after the event. The policy created a queue at Edgar Street by 8.30pm - three and a half hours before the tickets were due to go on sale. The tickets sold out by 1.30pm, only 90 minutes after they were due to go on sale after the Police requested the club to start sales early.
