Chris Zebroski, who had a pre-season trial at Hereford United, has been linked to several clubs as a result of his good performances for Torquay where he is on loan from Millwall.
Bristol Rovers are one of those clubs, along with several others including reportedly Yeovil, Swindon Town and Doncaster Rovers.
However some managers may be wary of Zebroski with his chequered past. According to the Western Daily Press whilst Zebroski was a teenager he was sacked from Plymouth Argyle after being 'involved in an altercation with club captain Paul Wotton which left the latter needing 100 stitches in head wounds.'
Others will have noted that Dean Sheehan is his agent.
"Chris is playing really well at the moment, so it is understandable League clubs are looking at him," said Sheehan.
"He is enjoying the promotion push with Torquay, and their faith in him has been rewarded with some great goals and great performances."
