News Round Up

The rejected offer for Mansfield was worth nearly £3million to owner Keith Haslam. On top of a £500,000 price tag Haslam would keep land purchased for a training complex worth £500,000 that he currently owes to the club, and pocket £1.7million in rent on a ten year lease of Field Mill. Haslam is believed to have rejected the deal for the club he bought for £1 because very little of the offer was up front cash.

Wrexham have ended the loan of Swansea midfielder Matty Collins. He played three times for the club, but has not featured since Brian Little took over. Stockport boss Jim Gannon is being called on to go after the pre-season fourth favourites lost to bottom side Lincoln. The 16th placed side have collected one point out of the last 15, and were dumped out of the FA Cup by Staines.

Rochdale have given teenage striker Kallum Higginbotham a new deal until 2010. The former Oldham trainee has scored once in ten games so far. Northwich's takeover has been agreed, with nothing left to do but sign the documents. The club have agreed a pay the Inland Revenue a lump sum plus a monthly repayment plan, and the Vics will not pay rent on the stadium until next season.
