Hereford United will travel to Tranmere Rovers for their Third Round FA Cup game.
Tranmere are in League One currently in ninth place. The Bulls have already defeated two League One clubs in the Cup - Leeds who are above Tranmere and yesterday Hartlepool who are just three points below.
At least the ground isn't too far for Hereford supporters to travel to the game but there won't be too much glamour about this Cup-tie.
Tranmere is close to Birkenhead. The stadium has a capacity of about 17,000. The away end holds 2,500.
The game is expected to take place on Saturday January 5th. It's very unlikely to be covered on television.
Steve Jennings, who came on loan for a spell from Tranmere to Hereford last season is in their squad, and scored yesterday when they defeated Bradford 3-0 in the Cup.
The last time the two sides met was in the FA Cup Third Round at Edgar Street in 1998, with Tranmere winning 3-0 thanks to goals from Gary Jones (2) and Clint Hill. That game is the only previous meeting in the FA Cup, though there have been 26 league meetings, with Tranmere having won ten and Hereford nine and seven drawn games.
