Young Bulls lose at Swindon

Yesterday Hereford United's Youth Team were defeated 2-1 at Swindon who won with an injury time penalty. The defeat brought to an end Hereford's three match winning run. Steve Smith scored Hereford's goal.

On Monday November 19th the Young Bulls play Millwall in the FA Youth Cup. This is a 7pm kick-off at Edgar Street.

Joint manager Colin Williams has given Bulls News some information about Millwall.

"Millwall are a Youth Academy unlike most of the Football League sides who have Centres of Excellence. This means they are part of an elite group of about 38 clubs who have at least five full time people working in the Academy as many as we have with the first team! Apart from a Child Protection Officer they also have an Education Officer and must have an indoor training pitch. The normal fixture list for Millwall will include Arsenal, Tottenham, West Ham, Charlton Athletic, Watford and many other London sides from the top two tiers of English Football. It is only the position of the first team that has brought them into the competition at this sate and not the third round like most of the other Academies.

"The game will be big challenge for our lads which I and Gary hope they can rise to."
