The Bulls are back in League 2 action on Saturday when they travel to Edgeley Park for a replay of last years' season opener. The Hatters currently lie in mid table following a string of inconsistent results that have seen them beat MK Dons away yet only scrape draws at home to Slopbury and Ryman League team Staines Town in the FA Cup. Visiting fans are now normally housed in part of the Popular Stand, which runs the length of one side of the ground although the Railway End (used last season) can be opened if required. The Popular Stand does have some supporting pillars, which can obscure the view, but reports suggest that the stewards will often allow fans to stand at the back of the Stand for a better view.

The Official Stockport site is quoting admission prices as follows: - Adults £18, Senior Citizens/Students (NUS Card) £11 and U16's £5.

The facilities within the ground are pretty good, with modern toilets, whilst the refreshment kiosk offers a good range of snacks together with hot and cold drinks.

ALEHOUSES. Castle Street offers a choice of some 10 pubs with almost all allowing visiting fans with the best probably being The Royal Oak at the end of Castle Street. The Sir Robert Peel provides big screen Sky TV and welcomes visiting fans although it was extremely busy last year. Stockport pubs mostly offer the option of real ale with the local Robinsons Brewery being well represented. In particular, The Armoury by the roundabout at the top of Castle Street offers a cracking pint of Robbies and is very welcoming.

Enjoy.
