Trent McClenahan's absence tonight has been explained in the post match press conference.
A family bereavment in Australia means that McClenahan has already departed for Down Under, with the Bulls missing the former West Ham man for Friday's FA Cup match. He will now be absent for three weeks with the next Olyroos match due later in the month.
Speaking to the press Graham Turner doubted the offside for the first goal, feeling the central defender was covering, but admitted it was a fortunate result: "You always fear that after a very good performance against Darlington that individuals might drop off. We did that big style. We didn't play at all, and we scraped a win which probably, in all honesty, we didn't deserve."
No injury problems were reported from tonights match, but several players were visibly tired towards the end. Turner described the later stages of the game as almost being a training session: "We were a bit ropey at times. It was almost a training session with balls launched into our box and we've had to deal with it. Might have got away with one or two things but we should have done better from the break a few times."
He was also complimentary of Mansfield: "They are the best side we have played this season at closing the ball down and we had no time or space to pass that ball due to the way Mansfield set up."
