Two of Hereford United's team last night have been giving their reaction to the victory over Leeds United.
"It was a great win and I thought we thoroughly deserved it. We created a lot of chances and Leeds didn't trouble us too much. We dealt well with the Leeds attack," said 'keeper Wayne Brown as reported by the Hereford Times.
"We are happy - but we knew that Leeds were beatable. Leeds is a big name and another scalp - so we have to be pleased with our night's work."
Defender John McCombe, pictured, also spoke.
"We worked exceptionally hard and deserved the win. We defended well as a unit. I thought I could probably have won more headers than I did, but we cleared up the second balls well.
"It was good to have Dean Beckwith back in the side - he's a top quality player and to think he was out for six weeks, you wouldn't have been able to tell.
"I am a Huddersfield lad - so it was great to get one over on Leeds.
"To be honest, I thought we could win up here. No-one gave us a chance after the draw at Edgar Street - where I thought we should have beaten Leeds. We have been doing well this season - and our away form has been better than our home form."
