Former Hereford United player Rob Purdie, now with Darlington, makes his return to Edgar Street tomorrow. He has been telling the Hereford Times about the contrasts between the two clubs.
"The two clubs are completely different. There's more people working in the reception at Darlington than there is at Hereford altogether!
"At Hereford you've got the gaffer, his assistant, the physio, the weights coach and then three people working in an office.
"They are the only people you ever see, but then you come to Darlington and there's that many people in reception.
"My girlfriend came to one of the pre-season games, saw the club and said I can see why you wanted to come here."
Purdie hopes the Hereford supporters will welcome him tomorrow.
"I was there for five years so it was like a second home for me so I'm looking forward to going back and to see what kind of reception I get," he said.
"Hopefully the fans will think I gave five years' good service and have only moved on to further my career. Hopefully they will look at it that way and I will get a decent reception."
