News Round Up

Shrewsbury have given manager Gary Peters a vote of confidence. Despite just one win in ten games, and sitting eight points outside the play-offs, chairman Keith Sayfritz told the Shropshire Star: "I would ask our fans to look at it in the broader context. Since Gary has come into the club we have made solid progress every season. If this proves to be a season of consolidation then so be it, but that is not what Gary, the chairman or the board are aiming for."

Bradford have signed Fauto Lucio on a month to month contract. The 22 year old Portugese midfielder was released by Benfica in the summer. The club also hope to complete the signing of Chilean striker Willy Topp before the November 22nd deadline after agreeing a fee with his Chilean side.

Chesterfield are selling half-season tickets with adult tickets starting at £156. An under 14's ticket can be bought at the same time as the Adult ticket for just £18. Lincoln have taken former Chesterfield defender George Santos on trial after Rotherham passed on the chance to sign him.

Rotherham have written to the FA to complain at the shape of the balls used during their 2-2 draw with Forest Green in the FA Cup. Manager Mark Robins described the balls as 'egg-shaped'. Robins also complained last season after their First Round exit using the same Umbro balls. Former Bulls' triallist Cortez Belle has been told he can leave Halifax after just 16 games at the club.

MK Dons boss Paul Ince has denied speculation linking him with Wigan. Ince has only served four months in the job after eight months at Macclesfield but has told the press that he is at the franchise club 'for the long term'.
