News Round Up

Peterboro are in negotiations with Swansea to buy Ian Craney. The midfielder, currently on loan at Accrington, was recalled briefly last week with the intention of moving to The Posh on loan until a permanent move could be arranged in the summer. Talks broke down, but are resuming today.

Bradford have loaned out two more youngsters. Damian Hopkins and Luke Morgan, neither of whom have featured in the first team, have joined Ossett Town. Conference side Farsley have lost the services of manager Lee Sinnott, who has joined Port Vale. Ex-Bull Jimmy Quinn had been approached over the job.

Wrexham boss Brian Carey continues to defy calls to quit the struggling side. After their fourth straight loss at the weekend Carey accused the players of not performing. Altrincham midfielder Warren Peyton has taken a leaf out of Graham Turner's book. When the club wanted a new turnstile block, it was Peyton who they turned to for his building skills.

Lincoln defender Lee Beevers will be out 'for the forseeable future' after dislocating a shoulder against Chester on Friday. The 23 year old will see a specialist later in the week. Chester, meanwhile, will accept any fine given to them for their very late arrival at Sincil Bank. Chairman Stephen Vaughan admitted they had no option, despite the three hour trip taking nearly six.
