Rob Purdie has spoken to the Evening Gazette about his first match at Edgar Street not in Bulls colours.
The 24 year old spent five years at Edgar Street, filling just about every role on the team sheet in the process: "It will feel a bit like going home. It's rare to spend that long at a club at this level, but I gave them good service before moving on to a new challenge.
"I am surprised at how well Hereford have started the season, considering that in the summer they lost a few players they wanted to keep. Because I had been at Hereford so long, I was one of the players that the new boys looked up to."
Manager Dave Penney has also been bending Purdie's ear for insider tips: "Hereford is not an easy place to go to. There is a slope on the pitch and we will be picking Rob's brains, but we are confident wherever we go."
