Trewick pleased with a point

More reaction from yesterday's game between Peterborough and Hereford.

Bulls' coach John Trewick spoke to BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"I thought we controlled the second half for a long long period and deservedly got our goal. I'm pleased for Clint (Easton) who is working hard for us.

"There were one or two other little situations where we might just have nicked a win.

"Against a good side - yes we've got to be pleased with an away point."

Meanwhile Hereford United's Youth Team went one better than the seniors yesterday.

They defeated Northampton Town 3-1, after going a goal down, in the Youth Alliance Cup.

The Bulls goals came from two corners late in the first half and a third in the second half. Scorers were Gareth Thomas, Jamie Cuthbertson and Craig Jones.

The Hereford side were described as 'a better and hungrier team'. This was their second win from five starts in the competition.

The date has been announced by Basingstoke for the FA Youth Cup first round game against Hereford United. It will take place at the Camrose on Tuesday November 6th with a 7.30pm start.

The Senior Side have a home game against Mansfield at Edgar Street that evening.

Finally Colin Williams from the Youth Team has told Bulls News that this week they have had a lad over on trial from Ireland. This came about from a contact with former coach Richard O'Kelly. However he is not quite upto the standard required and will return to Ireland tomorrow.

The Youth Team often have lads writing for trial games usually from the London Area for some reason and this happened this week when a lad came down from the smoke and stayed with relatives in Leominster. He has been asked to visit Hereford again at Chritmas. If he is taken on it would be through the Hereford College of Technology Education programme which is where the Youth academy is now based.
