Lincoln City have axed their management team of John Schofield and John Deehan with immediate effect.
The club are in the relegation zone for what is the first time since they were relegated to the Conference in 1987. Schofield signed a new three year deal in the summer after leading them to their fifth successive play-off campaign in his first year in charge. However the side have won just seven times in the entirety of 2007 so far.
Youth coach Grant Brown will take over as caretaker boss but is not expected to take the job on a full time basis.
