Weale could be recalled says Johnson

Bristol City manager Gary Johnson has said that he may recall 'keeper Chris Weale from Hereford because of injury problems.

Adriano Basso, the City goalkeeper, had to be replaced at half-time by debutant Stephen Henderson after being injured in a collision with Dexter Blackstock in the 2-2 draw with QPR.

"Adriano was caught in the stomach and under the ribs and may have suffered some sort of ligament damage - we'll have to wait and see," said Johnson.

Weale, who wasn't unduly troubled by Rotherham this afternoon, was not expected to play in the Bulls Carling Cup game on Tuesday as City were said not to want him Cup-tied but any recall might be for more than one game posing a problem for Turner as he will have to get in a reserve 'keeper.
