Cheltenham Town report that Michael Wylde has now undergone surgery to insert a plate into his jaw having suffered a double fracture in the incident. He is expected to be out of action for 10 weeks.
Wylde received his injury when playing for the Robins at Hereford last Saturday.
Bulls manager Graham Turner noted that 'it took about three-quarters of an hour for the ambulance to arrive'.
