Turner to test another goalie tomorrow

Chris Weale from Bristol City is expected to be in goal for Hereford United tomorrow in the friendly against Cheltenham. How much of the game he will take part in remains to be seen but Graham Turner may use the fact that Wayne Brown has been injuried to give Weale a chance to prove whether he is worth bringing to Edgar Street in a possible loan deal.

25 year old Weale joined Yeovil in 1999 and stayed with the Somerset outfit until Bristol City's Gary Johnson signed him on a free twelve months ago. However he has suffered injury problems and probably needs match practice.

Meanwhile Graham Turner has been talking to BBC Hereford and Worcester about the Cheltenham game.

"Sometimes when you play against teams like Wolves and West Brom it can be a little bit difficult to get the ball back off them but with due respect to Cheltenham they are just ahead of us in terms of League status.

"It is a realistic match - this is the sort of opposition we are going to face through the season - it should stand us in good stead for the opening game against Rotherham."

One Hereford United player who would probably be very happy if he could find the back of the net tomorrow is Steve Guinan. After a loan spell at Edgar Street towards the end of last season Guinan was released by Cheltenham and rejoined Hereford.
