Shrewsbury have signed defender Colin Murdock on a 12 month deal after a successful trial. The Northern Ireland international was released by Rotherham in the summer after not making a first team appearance since December.

Notts County are to investigate on-pitch crowd trouble following last night's friendly loss to Nottm Forest. Up to 200 'fans' from both sides encroached onto the playing surface. Alex Jeannin scored a late consolation goal as Oxford went down 2-1 to Luton.
