Shane Sutton, recently released by Shrewsbury Town, is to have a trial at Hereford United.
The 18 year old centre half hails from Knighton and has played for the Wales under 17 team.
The trial has been arranged by Gary Stephens, who runs the Hereford United youth team, and former player Gareth Davies.
Earlier today Sutton was showing his footballing skills to youngsters at the Hay Festival when approached by Sky TV who filmed him talking to Rory McGrath.
Sutton and a couple of Hay St Mary's footballers helped out after Hereford United were unable to send any players to an event which featured Dan Freedman, the editor of the FA.
