The small group of Hereford United supporters manning a car park at the Hay-on-Wye festival have raised £13,000 for the Macmillan Renton Appeal. Last year they raised £8,100.
The supporters, mostly teenagers, have worked up to 100 hours over the past ten days to collect the money which will be presented to the Appeal organisers at a function later this week in Hereford.
The Appeal is well on the way to reaching its target of £1.5 million which will be used for new cancer facilities at Hereford hospital.
