Wycombe lose £1 million

Another League Two club has reported it expects to make another loss in the year to June 30th 2007.

Last year Wycombe Wanderers lost £1.9 million but expects the loss will be cut to £1 million this season.

Tranfer receipts from the sale of players Roger Johnson and Kevin Betsy plus an excellent run in the Carling Cup have steadied the finances at the club.

The latest news about the finances was given to shareholders last night.

They were also told that Wycombe now has one of the biggest 'Football in the Community' schemes in the country and that around 100,000 children were taught football skills by the club last year.

It has also become a very profitable conference and banqueting venue. Profit in this area is said to be well over £250,000.
