Former Exeter chairman John Russell has received a 21 month sentence for fraudulent trading and obtaining a pecuniary advantage by deception. Deputy Mike Lewis was handed a 200 hour community service order.
In sentencing, the judge told them: "You wanted to be the club's financial saviour or white knight even though you knew that was quite impossible. The deception could be seen in your conduct at the club when you sent personal guarantees knowing you did not have the financial means to meet them."
Notts County have signed four more. Adam Tann, a defender from Leyton Orient, and Paul Mayo, a utility man from Lincoln, both rejected contracts with their current clubs while Hector Sam, a striker from Walsall, and Tim Sandercombe, a keeper from Plymouth, were both released by their clubs.
Dagenham have signed defender Magnus Okuonghae from Crawley on a free transfer. The 21 year old had three different Conference clubs last season, and has signed a two year deal. The club have also agreed terms with transfer listed Peterboro midfielder Shane Huke, who arrives on a free transfer.
Bury manager Chris Casper is another that will not reveal transfer targets after doing so last season: "I did mention who we were targeting last year and I look back and cringe at that. I was naive but I am learning all of the time. Two years into the job I won't be making that mistake again." Casper is in a similar position to Graham Turner, with just six on contract and none of the out of contract players having accepted their new offers.
