Turner unhappy with Walsall referee

Graham Turner has told the Hereford Times that he tried to talk to the referee, Gary Sutton, after the Walsall game but failed. The Hereford United manager was unhappy with the sending off of Dean Beckwith and the missing of a 'blatant hand ball'.

He said he waited the usual half hour before going to the referee's room.

"I observed this directive from the Football League and was promptly told by the 'guard' on the referee's door that he would see me at 5.25pm.

"I then stood outside his door like a naughty kid waiting to see the headmaster.

"Finally, gone 5.30pm, I asked the guard to open the door and he managed to get it a couple of inches, the message coming out was that he would be another ten minutes."

Turner did have a conversation with him 'through the gap' but they still refused the open the door.

"One thing is certain, it will be in my report about him.

"Not only did he has a poor game but his behaviour afterwards was totally unacceptable. I hope it will be a long time before we see him again."
