A couple of League Two clubs have already announced their season ticket prices for the next campaign.
Amidst those are Darlington and Peterborough. Both are to allow under 10's in for free.
For those who are current season ticket holders Darlington will charge £111 for a junior ticket and £80 for 10 year-olds.
Peterborough supporters, who purchase early, will be charged just £35 for a junior ticket if purchased with an adult ticket. Otherwise junior tickets are £70.
An adult and child over 10 can have terrace season tickets for £265 at Peterborough whereas the cheapest deal at Darlington, which is an all-seated stadium, will cost £363. The same seated deal at Peterborough will be £370.
This season the cheapest terrace equivalent deal at Edgar Street cost £360 whilst the same deal seated in the family stand cost £350 or £430 elsewhere in the ground.
With many higher graded clubs cutting their season ticket prices there will be pressure on Hereford United to follow.
The club has already acknowledged that child prices are too high with special deals being offered as the season has progressed.
However any drop in income from the gate has to be made up elsewhere. The improvements at Edgar Street can't come too soon.
