The battle to avoid the drop will go right down to the wire after both Wrexham and Boston won on Saturday.
Wrexham scraped a 1-0 win over already doomed Torquay in front of over 6,000, while Boston beat Chester by the only goal in front of little more than 1,700. Their wins pushed Accrington and Macclesfield back into the mire. Accrington lost 2-1 at Shrewsbury, while Macclesfield were thumped 5-0 by local rivals Rochdale to leave both Lancashire sides just two points clear of the drop. Bury are also worried sitting three points clear - a gap given to them thanks to a surprise 1-0 win at Walsall, who disappointed a bumper crowd in place to celebrate their promotion.
At the top, Swindon closed in on the final automatic spot with a 2-0 win over Mansfield in front of over 10,000. They now need just a single point to secure third place. MK Dons held off the Robins' party for another week after a 2-1 win over Stockport, who slip to 7th with a four point gap to 8th.
Lincoln edged closer to a secured play-off spot with a 0-0 draw with Bristol Rovers. The Pirates are virtually out of the running, with a six point gap now open to the play-offs with three games left. Wycombe's 3-2 loss at Darlington has seen them all but end their play-off hopes. The one-time leaders have collected just five points from the last 27.
In the other match, Grimsby thrashed Barnet 5-0 while on Friday leaders Hartlepool drew 1-1 with Notts County.
