Westfields, whose base is only a couple of hundred yards away from Edgar Street, have a young player about to go to Blackburn Rovers on trial.
17 year old Ashley Day, a midfielder, has been a regular member of Westfields' Midland Alliance team this season to date.
"Blackburn made contact with our manager Sean Edwards following scouts watching Ashley and he has been invited to stay, train and play at Rovers for a whole week," said Westfields' chief executive Andy Morris.
"It is a tremendous opportunity and a great experience for the lad."
Whether Day will feature for Westfields against Hereford United next week is unclear. The two teams meet in the HFA Senior Floodlit cup semi-final next Tuesday at the allpay.park stadium with a 7.30pm start.
