Graham Turner may have to reshuffle his defence again on Saturday as two of his defenders look set to miss the game at Hartlepool.
Dean Beckwith pulled up with a hamstring injury late in the game at Chester last Tuesday and Trent McClenahan suffered the same fate whilst playing in Iran yesterday.
"We've had a report from the Australian set up that Trent McClenahan had to come off late in the game [in Iran], so he doesn't look as though he's going to be fit," Turner told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"There are one or two players who are chomping at the bit; they think that they should be in the side.
"I left Richard Rose out at Chester, he thinks he should be in the side.
"[We've got] Phil Gulliver, Andy Ferrell, people like that, so I've got plenty of players who are capable of coming in and doing a good job for us - I've no worries about that."
Meanwhile the Hereford United manager has told the Worcester News that his team is looking forward to the challenge of getting something from the game.
"We have relished any chances like this, we have always done well away from home against the top sides.
"They have gone 18 unbeaten and are top of the league. It's a big challenge but one which we can respond to.
"We have played well recently - especially against Chester," he added. "We should have won that game and beaten Rochdale, although they had chances.
"I am not too disappointed with the way it's gone. We have passed the ball a lot better, though."
