Wages in League Two

Hereford United's wage bill last season was around £700,000, nearly £140,000 higher than the previous season. How much higher the bill will be this season remains to be seen but another increase, perhaps to around £900,000, is expected.

With promotion to League Two is was inevitable that wage costs would rise. However even at £900,000 they could be slightly lower than the average if a survey, taken last April, by the Independent newspaper is correct.

Hereford United have had up to 25 players on the books this season.
