News Round Up

Peterboro's Aaron McLean has been ruled out for the rest of the season with interior cruciate damage. The former Aldershot and Grays forward has scored ten times in 21 games for The Posh. Boston's Stephen Vaughan has also been ruled out for the rest of the season after just seven games. The former Chester man has picked up ankle ligament damage.

Wrexham defender Steve Evans has had his five game ban for his third red card of the season confirmed after the club decided video evidence proved his guilt. Tamworth are to sue former Lincoln defender Tom Ward for breach of contract. The player agreed a £15,000 move to the Lambs in December but failed to complete the move despite Tamworth paying the transfer fee. Ward has now agreed a contract with Grays, who announced his signing yesterday.

Cheltenham are set to announce a six figure loss for this season larger than the six figure profit made last season despite banking £200,000 in transfer fees. Chairman Paul Baker has confirmed that most of the nine players out of contract at the end of the season will not be retained as the club try to stem the losses whichever division they end up in.

Chester defender Ashley Westwood, their current top scorer, is set for a loan move to Swindon after the player asked to leave the club. Chester are negotiating a player exchange with an un-named Robins player. Wycombe forward Ian Stonebridge has retired from professional football with Reactive Arthropathy, a condition that causes joints to swell up without reason.

Rushden will not be sued by Graham Westley for wrongful dismissal, despite maintaining that they had no grounds to sack him. The club are already facing action over the dismissal of Paul Hart in October. Rochdale have signed Hartlepool midfielder Stephen Turnbull on a months loan. Turnbull was the 'ineligible' player that saw Bury thrown out of the FA Cup.
