News Round Up

Ex-Bulls loanee Matt Bailey has joined Barrow in the Conference North on a months loan. The lanky forward made his debut against Vauxhall Motors at the weekend, but failed to score.

Lincoln are set to add Aston Villa midfielder Paul Green to their squad. The 19 year old will sign a contract until 2009. Barnet have signed the latest striker called Allen. Oliver Allen, 19, is the son of Clive and nephew of former Bees manager Martin and joins after being freed by Birmingham. The Bees have also made defender Anthony Charles available for transfer.

Rochdale have signed Morecambe's former England semi-pro international David Perkins. The diminutive utility man played 199 times for Morecambe, scoring once. The club have released ex-Woking defender Jon Boardman by mutual consent, with the player likely to move to Stevenage. Accrington's bid for Clayton Donaldson has been laughed off by York. Stanley claimed that the bid was worth £110,000, but York confirmed that the offer was £25,000 plus an un-named player who was presumably valued at £85,000.

Cambridge United have announced that their financial difficulties are getting worse. Chairman Lee Power told the press: "The position is more or less where it was when I came here, and if anything it has got worse. We put a budget in place at the start of the season for a mid-table position and not a great cup run, but we've not had any cup run and we've been in the bottom eight for near enough all season."

Torquay have told midfielder Carl Motteram that his contract will not be renewed when his contract expires later in the month. The former Birmingham trainee started just once for the Gulls.
