News Round Up

Darlington have added two loan signing, bringing in Ricky Ravenhill from Grimsby and Tommy Wright from Barnsley. Ravenhill was a player under Darlo boss Dave Penney at Doncaster, while Wright recently had a reasonable loan spell at Walsall.

Macclesfield have completed the permanent signing of Blackpool striker John Murphy on a free transfer. Murphy, 30, has spent the last two months at Moss Rose, scoring five times in fourteen games. Torquay have signed a fourth loan player in Bournemouth midfielder Stephen Cooke. The former Villa trainee was a regular feature in the side until the arrival of current boss Kevin Bond and is expected to leave Dean Court in the summer.

Bury will be 'watching developments with interest' after the FA ratified the ordering of a replay in a Derbyshire Cup match after Buxton fielded a player with only verbal permission in a similar episode that saw Bury kicked out of the FA Cup. The club have not ruled out legal action against the FA over the incident that has cost them a six-figure payday.
