Gavin Williams may move from Ipswich

Gavin Williams may move from Ipswich. The former Hereford United player is said to be a target of Steve Bruce at Birmingham or Kenny Jackett at Swansea depending which paper one reads.

Again the asking price varies from between £500,000 to £1,000,000.

Whatever happens to Williams won't benefit the Bulls as there are no more add-on clauses in his contact.

Meanwhile a few more facts about Weymouth have surfaced in the League Paper.

The playing budget at the club could have been around £24,000 per week which for a Conference club would be very high. Although the figures have not yet been released, the playing budget at Hereford United last season is thought to have been around £14,000 a week.

Weymouth's overdraft has risen to about £500,000 and chairman Martyn Harrison's Hollybush Hotel Group is said to be owed some £2 million by the club.

Whether Weymouth have broken the Conference rules about a salary cap remains to be seen. But with crowds of around 2,500 the figures probably don't add up.
