Adam Stansfield scored his first goal in five games as Exeter beat Dagenham 3-2, Anwar Uddin was missing for the Daggers. John Grant scored for the fifth successive game as Aldershot beat Burton, who again subbed David Brown with less than an hour gone, 3-1.
Danny Williams made his first Forest Green appearance for a month but couldn't stop them losing 2-1 to Southport. Ben Smith scored the only goal of the game as Weymouth beat Northwich 1-0. There was no place for the newly signed Matt Baker.
At Ninian Park, there was no reunion of two old boys with Paul Parry out for a month, but Gavin Williams started his first game in three months for Ipswich, and was booked, as they carved out a 2-2 draw. Gavin Mahon was also out, suspended, for Watford as they bored another 19,000 half to death with a 0-0 draw with Reading.
