Consistant for eight games - Purdie

Rob Purdie agreed with Keith Hall, who was reporting for BBC Hereford and Worcester, that it had been an emphatic victory.

"I think the work rate that we put in and the way we passed the ball around - you couldn't tell the League difference between the two clubs.

"We now proven how we can play. We been consistant now for, probably, the last eight games and this has been our best performance out of the eight.

"You never know what might happen in the next round, we might pull a big team which would be great for the players as well as the supporters."

Reviewing the game Purdie noted that Port Vale are a good team despite their performance today.

"When we got to grips with the game and started to spread it out wide we started to control the game. We sat back a bit at 3-0, probably to get a breather, but we always looked dangerous on the break."

Purdie scored his eight penalty of the season today.

"I've now equalled my best goal scoring season with my second goal as well. It's great to get penalties but I'm more happy with scoring from open play."
