Nicolau on trial at Barnet

Nicky Nicolau the 22-year-old former Arsenal trainee, who spent time on-loan at Hereford last season, is on trial at Barnet.

The left-sided player started 30 games for Southend United in 2004-05 and then moved to Swindon Town to play another five.

Nicolau suffered from injuries whilst at Edgar Street which curtailed his appearances for the Bulls.

Meanwhile Cardiff-born Richard Evans is having a trial at Grimsby Town. He is a left-sided player who started with Birmingham City and has been in the Wales under-21 squad.
