Ali Gibb has been linked by the Western Daily Press to Hereford United.
Gibb is a 30 year-old winger who is in dispute with his current club, Bristol Rovers, about a new deal.
Hartlepool are said to be favourites to sign him with both Torquay and Hereford United also mentioned.
The dispute is beleived to be about an extension to his current contract, with Gibb believing he had triggered a clause in the deal for an automatic extension.
Gibb moved to Bristol Rovers from Stockport in March 2004.
