Barnet To Ask Fans Over Move

Barnet are to hold a referendum with it's supporters to determine the future of the club.

The increasing unsuitability of their Underhill site means that the club cannot continue in it's current circumstances, and fans will be asked which of two options they prefer.

The first option is to remain at Underhill, with Chairman Tony Kleanthous handing his shares to supporters and walking away. Kleanthous will ensure the club is debt free before he leaves, but the ground will not sustain League football.

Option two is to relocate the club within 15 miles of its current base - a move that could see the club leave the confines of the M25 and move to Hertfordshire.

The referendum is likely to take place at the end of June.
