Preview: Morecambe vs Bulls

The Bulls travel to Morecambe this Sunday for the first leg of the play-off semi-finals.

Having already left Christie Park this season with a 2-2 draw in April, thanks to a brace of goals from Danny Carey-Bertram, the Bulls will be looking for at least a similar result to springboard themselves into the second leg.

Whilst the play-offs are old hat to the Bulls, this is Morecambe's second tilt at the end of season shootout and shoot they certainly will in the first leg. Christie Park has seen an average of two Morecambe goals per game all season, leaving them the second biggest scorers at home behind Grays. Wayne Curtis and Michael Twiss have both made double figures in the goalscorers chart this season while Danny Carlton, with 17 goals, is the third top Conference scorer this season.

While the Bulls have struggled for goals, with Andy Williams the only player reaching double figures for Conference goals, injuries to the frontmen have limited their chances with eight players filling the forward line over the course of the season. The defence, however, has stood firm to be the toughest in the Conference and the strongest Bulls defence since 1972.

Match Odds (bet365): Morecambe 11/8, Draw 11/5, Bulls 13/8.
