FL Trophy Gets New Sponsors

The Football League Trophy, formerly the LDV Trophy, is to become the Johnstones Paints Trophy next season.

The Football League has agreed a seven figure sponsorship deal over three years for the competiton - but Conference sides will be excluded next season.

It is still unclear whether any money at all has been paid, or is likely to be paid, to clubs for this season's competition following LDV's withdrawal.
