Bentley still a doubt for tomorrow

Morecambe's Jim Bentley is a doubt for tomorrow's game with Hereford United according to the Morecambe Citizen.

"I have a chance and I will give it everything to make the second leg.

"I went for a ball on the half way line and felt my hammy but I thought it was okay until I went for the next ball. And then I knew it was a problem so I had to come off.

"The doctor says it is a few torn fibres in the hamstring so it is not as bad as it could have been and I will do everything I can to play."

Captain Bentley scored the Shrimps goal on Sunday and it would be a bad blow for Morecambe if unavailable.

"We have a real chance of going down there and getting a result. We have shown we can compete and we have nothing to fear," he says.

He also commented about last Sunday's game in general.

"That's the way the season has gone for us. Refereeing decisions seem to have gone against us and the lads are saying that Fraser was pushed so it should have been our free kick.

"Then Twissy's goal was ruled out and it kind of takes the biscuit but there is nothing we can do about that now.

"We have to go to Hereford and give it a good shot to make the final because we are certainly good enough."
