It's going to be a massive game says Bell

At least Jimmy Bell has got one thing right - it's going to be a massive game on Saturday.

Bell, assistant manager at Accringtion, writes a weekly column in the local rag. Last week he predicted that Hereford wouldn't beat Morecambe, this week he hasn't made a prediction. However he has revealed that he told his team at half-time last Tuesday that Hereford were losing. He thinks it spurred Accy on. (They defeated Aldershot 4-1)

"Hereford did well to come back against Gravesend and Northfleet, especially with 10 men. But imagine the looks on their faces when they came off the pitch and were told our result," Bell told the Accrington Telegraph.

"They must have looked at our fixtures and thought we had got a terrible run of away games. But we've only got one way of playing away from home, and that is what's helped us to get maximum points from potentially tricky trips to Crawley and Aldershot.

"I said last week that I would settle for seven points from this trio of trips, but a win at Hereford on Saturday would send us 19 points clear.

"It's going to be a massive game, and probably a massive crowd to boot. And rest assured the lads won't need any motivating for this one that game will take care of itself.

"With nine games to go after that, we're getting very close.

"Every goal is precious, every save and every tackle is vital, and every point will take us that bit closer to where we want to be."

Not to outdone Graham Turner has told BBC Hereford and Worcester that the Bulls must defeat the Milkmen.

"We have to win to have any chance of catching them. They've had a remarkable season," said the Hereford United manager.

"I could imagine them thinking if they come here and win that they're over the finish line as champions."
